Everyone thinks that the boys are dead. Betsy thinks to herself how she wished that Tom had given her something to remember him by, but things can not be undone. Soon all the children remember the things that Tom did for them. As everyone sits in the funeral, as the priest tells everyone of the glorious lives that the boys had and how much everyone liked them. As he was raving on, the door slowly creaked open, and in came the boys, Tom, Joe Harper and Huck Finn listening to their own funeral procession. Aunt polly kissed him "more than she had in a year." It just goes to show, "people don't appreciate you until you are gone."
